**Speakers for Threat Assessment Conference:
Susan Magestro: Is an Interventionist and Criminologist who has worked with at risk and violent youth for over thirty years. She has provided prevention and intervention strategies for youth and families locally, nationally, and internationally. Susan has worked with youth in educational and familial settings, in prisons, and on the streets. Susan’s focus has been teen domestic violence, teen school shooters, de-escalating angry people, teen drug use, minor’s consuming alcohol, gang activity, violence issues, and victims of bullying, victim impact and empathy building. Susan looks forward to working directly with youth and their families to navigate their journey through their difficult issues.
Officer Scott Lofthouse: Officer Scott Lofthouse: Officer Scott Lofthouse began his law enforcement career in the United States Air force in May, 1986. After leaving the military, Officer Lofthouse joined the Anchorage Police Department focusing on gang investigation. Throughout the decades, Officer Lofthouse kept a database of gangs in Anchorage and is now the Gang Intelligence Office for the Anchorage Police Department.
Melissa Emmal: Ms. Emmal has been working professionally as an advocate for people impacted by domestic violence for 8 years. She is currently the Deputy Director of Abused Women's Aid in Crisis (AWAIC) where she administers a 52-bed domestic violence shelter as well as multiple auxiliary programs.
